I, as a volunteer, understand that my time at ISNA Canada is on a voluntary basis and that I may choose to deactivate my account at any time. Should I do so, I will no longer be able to volunteer my services for any event ISNA Canada may hold.

***I, the volunteer, understand that I am responsible for my own insurance coverage regarding any harm (bodily or otherwise) that may come to me while volunteering on ISNA Canada property, during any events that ISNA Canada leads, or during events with third-party collaborators. I further waive any rights to hold ISNA Canada liable for any injuries (bodily or otherwise) I may sustain as a volunteer. ***

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT - VOLUNTEERS

With Islamic Society of North America – Canada ("ISNA-Canada”)

1. Recipient acknowledges and confirms that as a volunteer he/she may acquire inf#ormation, processes, and/or documents on ISNA - Canada, its guests, officers, members and volunteers, and may acquire knowledge of other matters and things related to, but not limited to, the operations and services of ISNA- Canada. All of the foregoing is referred to as ("Confidential Information”). Recipient agrees to hold the Confidential Information in strictest confidence and not to disclose same to anyone and in any form unless specifically authorized in writing by ISNA-Canada. The Recipient shall not make any copies of the Confidential Information except as needed for his/her volunteering. At the request of ISNA-Canada, Recipient shall return all Confidential Information (including any copies thereof) or produce evidence of its destruction if required.

2. This duty of confidentiality is of a continuous nature and will continue even after Recipient ceases to volunteer with ISNA-Canada.

3. Recipient agrees that any work produced by him/her for ISNA- Canada while volunteering with ISNA-Canada immediately becomes Confidential Information belonging to ISNA-Canada. All rights, title, and interest in any Confidential Information belong to ISNA-Canada.

4. Recipient agrees not to present himself/herself as representing ISNA-Canada in any way or form on any platform, including but not limited to, press communication, public speaking or attendance at meetings or forums, unless specifically designated to do so in writing by ISNA- Canada.

5. ISNA- Canada makes no representation or warranty with respect to any Confidential Information regarding its accuracy or rights of any third party.

6. The obligations and limitations in this Agreement shall not apply to information which is: (a) not through any act of the Recipient is at any time in the public domain; or (b) at any time rightfully received from a third party to the Recipient without any obligation of confidentiality. In the event any third party seeks the Confidential Information, including by way of subpoena or other court process, the Recipient will inform ISNA-Canada of the request in sufficient time to permit ISNA-Canada to object and/or seek court intervention to prevent such disclosure.

This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the law of the Province of Ontario.

Recipient understands that any breach of this agreement may result in criminal or civil liabilities.

Recipient confirms having read and understood the above statements and agrees with them in full.
